What happens when the thing you crave most is the very thing destroying you?
Welcome to early-2000s New York City, where sex, love, addiction, and identity collide in a world of complicated relationships, private obsessions, and desperate attempts at human connection.
In ANON, playwright Kate Robin takes audiences into the intimate, often uncomfortable lives of people struggling to understand the difference between love and dependency, desire and destruction, and who they really are when nobody is watching.
At the center of the story is Allison, a woman navigating her own complicated relationship with intimacy and self-worth. Around her unfolds a world of lovers, friends, and women confronting their own patterns of addiction, obsession, and emotional survival.
Blending sharp humor with startling vulnerability, ANON explores the contradictions of modern intimacy: our longing to be seen, our fear of being truly known, and the extraordinary lengths we’ll go to avoid being alone.
Provocative, unapologetic, and deeply human, this production invites audiences into a world where sexuality is both liberation and prison, vulnerability is terrifying, and the line between wanting someone and needing them becomes dangerously blurred.
Sexy. Messy. Darkly funny. Uncomfortably honest.
ANON is a theatrical exploration of the things we desire, the identities we perform, and the complicated business of being human.
