There’s Something Seriously Wrong with Cyrus is a one-person serio-comedy about growing up queer in an Indian-Persian immigrant household and learning how to tell the truth without losing your sense of humor. Blending stand-up, storytelling, multimedia, dance and an ’80s and ’90s pop soundtrack, Cyrus transforms into more than 20 characters as he revisits family pressure, homophobia, generational trauma and his lifelong search for acceptance. Funny, vulnerable and unapologetically theatrical, it’s the story of how one hot mess finally learned to become his own hot bitch.
